Thanks! For the Black ink lines just a Picma Micron 03, colors are Arteza brushes and a mix of airbrush acrylics. The base is a wooden ampersand scratchbord

Which pastel pencils are best
I use a combo of mostly Rembrandt sticks and Carbothello, Derwent and Conté pastel pencils on Clairefontaine Pastelmat. I like some carbothello and derwent color variations. Conte pencils are very pure and saturated. I recommend you to try and decide

Thank you Berta. You are right, it's called a mahl stick. It relies on the easel's borders to comfortably switch around the different positions without touching the paper surface. Yes, I like to use different references or even videos to capture the essence better. Welcome to the club. Enjoy, have fun and get inspired!
